Cooking is about more than preparing dinner. It’s a chance to slow down, be creative and gather around the table with others. Join our six-month journey, begin with a three-month introduction, or, if space allows, come along for a single evening. However you choose to join us, you’ll leave with new recipes, practical skills and, we hope, a renewed love for cooking. More information below.

Cooking Together

At Café Lief, we believe cooking is about so much more than following a recipe. It’s about slowing down, sharing a table, learning from one another and discovering just how joyful plant-based food can be.

Whether you’re completely new to vegan cooking or simply looking for fresh inspiration, our monthly cooking classes are designed to help you feel more confident in the kitchen. We’ll explore seasonal ingredients, practical techniques and flavour combinations that you can easily recreate at home, without complicated methods or hard-to-find ingredients.

Each class is relaxed, hands-on and centred around cooking together. There are no demonstrations from the sidelines. We’ll chop, taste, laugh, ask questions and finish the evening by sharing a meal around the table.

What to expect

  • A new seasonal menu each month, inspired by cuisines from around the world.
  • Practical techniques and recipes you’ll actually cook again at home.
  • Plenty of tips for cooking more confidently with plant-based ingredients.
  • Conversations about nutrition, sustainability and making everyday cooking feel simpler.

Whether you come on your own or with a friend, you’ll leave with a full stomach, a collection of new recipes and, hopefully, a little more confidence in the kitchen.
